Gill began her performing career with Starlight Youth Theatre and was then invited to join Theatre Guild Glasgow, after being spotted by one of the club's members in her school production of "Calamity Jane" where she played Katie Brown. From there she performed in many shows, and met future husband Colin who then introduced Gill to her professional acting career by working with TRAM Direct. They regularly performed in small and medium arts venues around the Glasgow area - indoors and out!
From then she has gone on to work with various companies in the last few years, including SFA, Beautiful Little Fools, Fable Theatre Company, Studio Eye, Shoot the Rapids, and Punch Productions (who also gave her the chance to co-write on their production of 'Punch Pandemonium Goes To The Theatre'). Gill continues to work with TRAM Direct both on stage and behind the scenes. She has also continued to perform in a host of musicals with many of the larger theatre groups in Glasgow.
Throughout her life, Gill has worked with children and young people. As a youth worker, primary school classroom assistant and Brownie leader, she always tried to encourage the kids she worked with to be creative, expressive and confident. She has had the pleasure of touring TIE productions and pantos with Takeaway Theatre, Baldy Bane and Hopscotch Theatre over the past few years. She is passionate about performing to audiences who might not have the opportunity to regularly see live theatre.
Gill has had the pleasure of working with some of Scotland's finest talent through various workshops and training courses, and she is always looking to learn new skills and develop her craft. She regularly attends courses and workshops in order to do this, and to meet new contacts in the business.
