Due to the coronavirus outbreak, not much is happening just now! So I have decided to return to full time study and get my degree in acting. This will support the work that I have been doing over the last few years! I am also using my time proactively to read plays, learn new skills and make new contacts within the industry.

I'm currently studying my BA Acting degree at New College Lanarkshire (formally Motherwell College). It's been a very weird few months what with our time on campus being quite limited; we are having quite a few classes on Zoom - the upside of this is that my self taping skills have improved massively!
I'm really enjoying the chance to get back into reading again, and I've read so many plays over the last few months which has been really interesting. I'm particularly enjoying the mock auditions we have right now, which a great opportunity to meet some lovely industry contacts.
Hopefully our Showcase will still be going ahead in January 2021, although it is looking more likely that it will be recorded rather than live. I'm excited at the thought of some great filmed material for here and Spotlight!

The wedding planners
"The Wedding Planners" is a hilarious comedy musical written by Gillian Duffy and Alyson Orr. In this world premier of the production, I played the lead role of Mairi.
We had a fabulous run of shows in 2019 (Motherwell Theatre, East Kilbride Arts Centre, Howden Park Centre Livingston, Paisley Arts Centre, Oran Mor Glasgow, Eastwood Park Theatre Giffnock, Harbour Arts Centre Irvine and Beacon Arts Centre Greenock). We also were invited back to Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock in March 2021 to do a live streaming from the theatre to ticket buyers in their own homes. This was an amazing experience, mixing the theatre performance with filming cameras!
Keep an eye on our Facebook page to see dates as they are announced:
Having just finished a six week tour of TIE production "Spring-y" around Scottish primary schools, I returned to work with Hopscotch Theatre Company for their panto "Mother McGoose" which toured from November 2019 to January 2020.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, I wasn't able to tour for winter 2020, but I am looking to being back in the panto fashion for winter 2021, if not sooner!
I was in the process of working with playwright Arthur Allan to develop and stage his one-woman show "Sure" for the Fringe this year, until the festival was cancelled. However, we are still working on this funny and touching production, and looking to reschedule the piece for the Fringe in 2021.
I have been using the lockdown to learn about creative writing and write some work for myself.
